Leadership
Dan Nash

Dan Nash
Founder & Chief Executive OfficerDan's career reflects a rare combination of top-tier Wall Street training, Silicon Valley operating experience, and entrepreneurial platform-building.
Prior to founding SV Capital Advisors, Nash co-founded Cohen & Company Capital Markets (CCM) and served as Head of Investment Banking from 2021 to mid-2025. Under his leadership, the firm advised on over 113 announced or closed transactions totaling more than $48 billion in M&A and $14 billion in financing. CCM became one of the most active advisory firms in the market during this period.
Previously, Nash was the Global Head of Internet Investment Banking at Wells Fargo Securities, where he helped build and scale the firm's technology banking franchise following the Wachovia acquisition. He advised leading technology companies on IPOs, M&A transactions, SPAC mergers, PIPE financings, and debt capital. Notable transactions included Carvana's IPO (NYSE: CVNA) and Shift's SPAC transaction and PIPE financing.
Earlier in his career, Nash worked as a Director in Internet Investment Banking at Bank of America, where he worked on landmark IPOs that defined the modern internet era, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Zynga, and ACTIVE Network. This foundation in traditional, fundamentals-driven IPO execution continues to inform Nash's emphasis on public-market readiness and long-term performance.
Distinct from many advisors, Nash also brings a valuable operator's perspective. He served as CFO of Machine Zone, a leading global mobile gaming company responsible for multi-billion-dollar franchises. Nash began his career in Silicon Valley, working across finance roles at both large companies and pre-IPO startups, and even launching his own startup. He brings experience that shapes his client-first, founder-aware mindset.
Nash holds a BA in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, studied Mathematics at the London School of Economics, and earned his MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. Based in California, he works with sponsors, boards, and management teams across the full lifecycle of M&A and capital markets transactions.
